Cioppino's Restaurant has always been one of our favorite dining spots. It opened about seven years ago and has steadily been gaining notoriety ever since. Susan and Tracy Root run a first-class and very friendly restaurant, which is situated in the center of town. It has three dining rooms, and is a favorite of the “regulars” — residents and fans — as well as the tourists. Dining is serious but relaxed. Grilled lobster tails with shrimp on a bed of pesto pasta is fabulous and not to be missed. As the name suggests, there is an Italian ring to the menu, but Cioppino's is Mediterranean and New American, with lots of style and eclecticism.
